Brian Genxer The voice of protest and rejection of the cultural status quo echoes through the EP. Through the tracks here, Karamanti call for some revolutionary changes and non-hegemonic perspectives of Jamaican experience and the wider African diasporic experience. The vibes are solidly reggae with excellent vocals that just ooze the soothing flow of the riddim. Definitely a favourite album. Favorite track: Back Against The Wall ft. Mikey General.

about

Karamanti Jamaica

Though the Reggae/Dancehall industry is dominated by men, Karamanti stands as a strong black woman, (in her home town of Kingston, Jamaica) raining showers of conscious lyrics to a generation far from reality.
