The Black God

Genxian The voice of protest and rejection of the cultural status quo echoes through the EP. Through the tracks here, Karamanti call for some revolutionary changes and non-hegemonic perspectives of Jamaican experience and the wider African diasporic experience. The vibes are solidly reggae with excellent vocals that just ooze the soothing flow of the riddim. Definitely a favourite album. Favorite track: Back Against The Wall ft. Mikey General.

about

Karamanti Jamaica

Though the Reggae/Dancehall industry is dominated by men, Karamanti stands as a strong black woman, (in her home town of Kingston, Jamaica) raining showers of conscious lyrics to a generation far from reality.
